Professor Ralf Philipp received the Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union, New York, NY in 2000, the Master of Science in Engineering degree (Electrical and Computer Engineering) from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree (Electrical and Computer Engineering) from The Johns Hopkins University in 2009. For his dissertation work he created a single-chip stereo camera. His current research interests include audio signal processing for hearing aids, augmented reality, and telepresence, as well as video image processing for augmented reality and telepresence applications. He has published several journal papers, including a paper in the IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits, and many peer-reviewed conference proceedings, including a presentation at the International Solid-States Circuits Conference.
