
Professor Seymour Blank earned his master's in electrical engineering from Polytechnic University in 1968 and his PhD in physiology from Cornell University in 1986. Before joining the CET/EMT department at City Tech, he was a faculty member of NY Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center (New York, NY). Professor Blank's research activity has been related to the noninvasive analysis of the cardiovascular system. He has developed a new method for measuring blood pressure (using the wideband external blood pressure measurement pulse) and has a patent entitled "Wideband External Pulse Cardiac Monitor." His present research interest is the analysis of the physical properties of the cardiovascular system. For more information visit:
