The Accounting Program equips students with a strong preparation in accounting skills that will prepare them for positions in the accounting field upon graduation with the associate degree. Accounting graduates are employed in all facets of industry, holding positions in major corporations and not-for-profit entities such as hospitals, service groups and governmental agencies. Some of these organizations include the New York City Department of Finance, New York State Department of Finance/Taxation, Children's Television Workshop, Brooklyn Union Gas, Consolidated Edison and the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, many students choose to continue their education by transferring to a four-year program and receive baccalaureate degrees in order to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). CPAs can have their own accounting practice, or work in the public or private sector.

Fashion Marketing

Students in fashion marketing are introduced to buying and management careers in manufacturing firms, showrooms, retail stores and buying offices. Graduates are employed in corporations in the United States and Europe. Some establish and operate their own businesses. Among the employers of graduates are Saks, Macy's, J.C. Penny, the Gap, Bloomingdale's and the Limited. Many graduates also continue their education and receive baccalaureate degrees.

Marketing Management and Sales

Students in the Marketing Management and Sales program are prepared for to careers in marketing management, professional sales, sales management, marketing research, logistics management, telemarketing, entrepreneurship and advertising. In addition, the curriculum offers general business subjects to broaden graduates' competence so that they have the tools required in business and industry today. Among the employers of graduates of this program are General Foods Corporation, Prudential Financial Services, Gallo Wine, Proctor and Gamble, and many savings banks. Graduates have a history of success in industry and many have advanced to executive positions. Many continue their education and receive baccalaureate degrees.
