Bill Berensmann, Professor

Professor Bill Berensmann holds a bachelor and masters of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute, and is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and is registered in New York State.

He has lived and worked in Germany, France, and Italy, as well as the United States, specializing in residential and commercial architecture. His activities at the college include the creation of a successful student work abroad program in Europe, annual excursions to significant architectural sites in European countries as advisor to the Architectural Club, and occasional pro bono projects.

Among those projects was securing a $100,000 Americorps grant to finance student internships in Bedford-Stuyvesant to explore the rehabilitation of existing housing stock. Currently he is supervising a group of students in the design of a school/clinic in Rwanda. He has run seven marathons, and is a Mets fan.
