Douglas Davis is an Assistant Professor of Advertising Design in the Advertising Design and Graphic Arts Department at New York City College of Technology. Professor Davis holds a master's in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, a bachelor's in Graphic Design from Hampton University and is currently pursuing a masters in Integrated Marketing from NYU.
For the past 8 years Professor Davis has maintained his professional consulting practice along with his responsibilities at City Tech. His approach combines right-brained creative problem solving with left-brained strategic thinking. His emphasis on Creative Strategy, Integrated Marketing and Creative Direction is translated into a holistic experience for students in the classroom.
Professor Davis began his interactive advertising career as a digital designer for various media properties and agencies including CondeNet, ESSENCE Magazine, JWT/Brouillard, Tribal DDB, Deutsch and G2 Direct & Digital. While Associate Creative Director at JWT/Brouillard, Professor Davis was responsible for founding and co-directing the company's Interactive division.
