African American Studies
Prof. Panford currently teaches courses on the sociology of poverty, urban black community and early/modern African history.
He has taught at The City University since 1972 on the campuses of Brooklyn College, Lehman College and New York City College of Technology. His research interests are in African developmental studies. He has traveled extensively and lectured throughout Africa and Europe. He has two book proposals in developmental studies titled: "Role of the Elite in the Developmental Process in Ghana: A Case Study" and "Education and Development in Africa: A Study of Ghana's System."
