Peer Advisors
First Year Learning Communities
Who are we?
We are highly motivated college students that are actively involved in the College. We are eager to help other students in the First Year Learning Communities courses navigate their first year at City Tech. We visit classrooms, collaborate with faculty, meet and communicate with students and attend Peer Advisor meetings. We devote approximately 10 hours a week to the program.
We are excited to share our college experience and knowledge with you!
How can we help?
We will help you navigate City Tech. We can help you get your email account up and running, introduce you to eSims, Degreeworks/ESP and the CUNY portal. We know a lot about the college services, offices and activities too.
We also think it’s important for you to know:
- We can meet one-on-one or in a group.
- You can contact us by e-mail, phone or during specified office hours.
- The things we talk about are confidential and it does not affect their grades.
- We can help you to meet others at the college and become involved in other areas at the college.
