CUE at City Tech
Coordinated Undergraduate Education (CUE) is an initiative established in 2004 by the City University of New York as a means to integrate the many programs CUNY colleges offers their population. CUE mandates that the colleges address these various components and incorporate them to improve the overall quality and consistency of their undergraduate educational programs and services. At New York City College of Technology, it is our goal to create a seamless connection among these programs and personnel in order to better serve the entire college community.
CUE is a student-centered initiative that supports a smooth transition from pre-freshman to college graduate. Students begin their journey through the New Student Center, the Counseling Services Center, Testing, Freshman Year Program and USIP, and the first year learning communities make their way toward the CPE and graduation. Students also receive support through General Education, WAC, the Honors Scholars Program and the Learning Center. The aforementioned programs are all part of the CUE umbrella. By improving communication and relationships between formerly separate programs, CUE thus provides students with a more coherent liberal arts education. For faculty and administrators, CUE supports the coordination of curriculum development and professional development activities.
The CUE project is sponsored by the Chancellor's Office of the City of New York.
