Admission Requirements for the Honors Scholars Program
The Honors Scholars Program is open to any New York City College of Technology student who has completed at least 16 credits with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4 or better.
Transfer students entering New York City College of Technology with fifteen or more college credit hours and a transfer grade-point average of 3.4 or higher are eligible to apply.
Application Form
Eligible student may apply to the program. Applications are available in the Honors Scholars office, Namm 624. A copy of the Honors Scholars Application (PDF) can be downloaded. A 500-word essay describing the value you place on entering the Honors Scholars program is required. Please return the application form to the Honors Scholars office.
Requirements for Continued Eligibility in the Program
In order to continue in the Honors Scholars program, students must maintain a 3.0 grade-point average.
Acceptance to the New York City College of Technology Honors Scholars Program would be a high achievement, which is humbling and gratifying. It symbolizes external validation that my hard work, sacrifice and determination is bearing fruits of success.
