Second Annual Women's Student Leadership Luncheon

The Office of Student Life and Development’s Second Annual Women’s Student Leadership Luncheon, emceed by Maribel Lara, was held on campus, Friday, March 23, 2007. The luncheon’s theme, Women Who Mean Business, was exemplified by the three speakers, City Tech student, Lisa Templeton, chair of IEEE; Roxanna Melendez, director of the FSSC and coaching programs, and counselor; and Marcela Armoza, Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs. Women faculty, administrators and staff hosted tables during lunch where student leaders were present to share in their experiences and to give insight on the prominence of the future for women. Lively discussions were held, with much information and stories shared. Indeed, many connections took place. A video was played honoring women leaders and gifts were distributed. This luncheon is one of many which will promote and enhance our women leaders, while representing what is great about City Tech.
