Volleyball’s Salomon Ramos Named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week
City Tech freshman and volleyball outside hitter Salomon Ramos, a Staten Island resident and Tottenville graduate, has been named CUNYAC Player of the Week. The OH averaged 3.18 kills and hit .353 from the floor in 11 games the week of February 19. Averaging 3.44 kills per game this season, Salomon was dominant in the 3-2 victory versus Medgar Evers (2/24), smacking 20 kills (.586 hitting) and adding eight digs. He also recorded nine kills versus Brooklyn (2/24) and had four blocks in the match against Lehman (2/22).
