Greenwood Lake, NY, officials traveled 60 miles south to Downtown Brooklyn on March 29 to review 40 designs for improvements to the village's waterfront park presented by City Tech architectural technology students. Local officials had estimated that the value of the City Tech student and faculty in-kind contributions to the first phase of the project -- which included an expanded beach, amphitheater, theatrical stage, gazebo and driveway circulation completed last year -- exceeded $100,000. The next phase will feature a conservation center and community building, as well as pergolas that will frame in the magnificent views of the lake. On hand for the presentations were, from left to right, Greenwood Lake resident Emilie A. Cozzi, former provost and acting president of City Tech, Warwick Town Councilman Leonard DeBuck, Greenwood Lake Mayor Barbara Moore, and City Tech Architectural Technology Professors Agustin Maldonado and Shelley Smith.
