City Tech Center Named CUNYAC Player of the Week

City Tech Men's Basketball center Shacun Malave was named CUNYAC Player of the Week on December 1. At 6'7", Malave dominated the paint, averaging 15.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in a pair of contests last week. Even more impressive, the Bronx native blocked an amazing 20 shots, 10 in each game. The junior and liberal arts major recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in an overtime loss against Vassar and followed up with his first career triple-double in the Yellow Jackets' 83-61 victory against Polytechnic University, notching 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks. The DeWitt Clinton High School graduate and 2002/2003 CUNYAC All-Star is averaging 16.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and an astonishing 8.3 blocks per game this season.
