The New York City College of Technology Foundation will hosts its 9th Annual Gifts and Services Live & Silent Auction on Thursday, December 4, 2003, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the College's Janet Lefler Dining Room and adjoining Atrium Promenade, 300 Jay Street (at Tillary), Downtown Brooklyn. The evening will include a gourmet buffet supper and live entertainment.

Michael Lomonaco '84, a City Tech graduate, celebrity chef and host of the food show "Epicurious" on The Travel Channel, will serve as guest auctioneer, joining Department of Hospitality Management Chair Francisco Betancourt, who has co-emceed the event for several years. Lomonaco is chef/director of popular Noche restaurant located in the heart of Manhattan's Theatre District.

Auction guests will bid on overseas vacation packages, weekend getaways, art, books and collectibles, personal services and instructional classes, holiday gift baskets, and brunches, lunches and dinners for two or more at top New York City restaurants. Proceeds from the auction support foundation-sponsored student financial assistance programs, including those that enable City Tech students to participate in curriculum-related professional conferences and competitions, both locally and nationwide.
