New York City College of Technology (City Tech) finished in second place to a very strong Hunter College team in the men's race of the 2003 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Cross Country Championships held on October 26.

City Tech earned a second place trophy by virtue of four of five runners finishing in the top 20. Freshman Kofi Woodroffe (a Mechanical Engineering Technology major and a Thomas Jefferson High School graduate), a winner in a CUNYAC invitational meet at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx one week earlier, once again ran strongly and finished in eighth place with a time of 32:30. He earned a medal at the event, as did junior Chester Williams (a Computer Systems Technology major and Port Richmond High School graduate), who finished 14th (34:02), and senior Roger Redhead (an Electrical Mechanical Engineering major and South Shore High School graduate), who finished 13th (34:01). Sophomore Tristan Joris (a Liberal Arts major and Midwood High School graduate) rounded out the top 20 (34:53), finishing 20th.

In the women's race, two runners finished in the top 20 to earn medals. Senior Nichola Hall (a Hospitality Management major and St. Andrew's Technical High School-Jamaica, West Indies graduate) finished 12th (24:43) and junior Tisa Henry (Radiologic Technology & Medical Imaging major and A. Philip Randolph High School graduate) finished 13th (24:49), to help give City Tech a fifth place finish in the women's race.

In women's volleyball, the Yellow Jackets, the seventh seed, lost in the opening quarterfinal match against the number two seed, Lehman College, at City College. City Tech was led by this season by standout freshman outside hitter Ai Hua (Amanda) Cheng (Liberal Arts major and Seward Park High School graduate), who had 25 kills and eight aces in the regular-season finale (both season highs) versus Brooklyn College on October 21, which City Tech won in four games. She finished the season as the team leader in kills (162), aces (32) and digs (95).

In men's soccer, the team was on a three-game unbeaten streak prior to playing CCNY, seeded second, at City College's field. They defeated the Beavers, 3-1, in a previous meeting on October 8 at CCNY, but were not as successful in the quarterfinal playoff game on Oct. 29, losing 2-1. The team was led this season by forward Marlon Reid (a Mechanical Engineering Technology major and Decarteret High School -Jamaica, West Indies graduate), who had five goals and two assists. Reid concludes his four-year career at City Tech with 46 matches played, 14 goals, two assists, and 30 points.
