Thanking Those Who Helped Hit a Home Run for City Tech

To show appreciation to several individuals who were instrumental in changing the College's name to New York City College of Technology, President Fred W. Beaufait and other chief administrators invited them to a Cyclones baseball game on August 22. Among those on hand were State Assemblywoman Joan Millman, Judge Alice Fisher Rubin, CUNY Trustees Katherine (Kay) Pesile and Albert Curtis, CUNY Vice Chancellor Otis Hill and Amy Holden, assistant to Governor George Pataki, and City Tech Foundation Board Member Seth Edwards of JP Morgan/Chase. They and their guests had a field day at the stadium despite The Cyclones' collapse in the ninth inning, resulting in a 7-5 loss. The tickets were donated by KeySpan. The Cyclones are a Mets level A farm team.
