Color Is My Friend
Pamela Beck
There will be an exhibit of paintings by Pamela Beck in the President's Gallery, Namm 319 from May 14 to June 26. The exhibit coincides with the publication of the 2001-2002 edition of Perspectives which features an article by Dr. Beck entitled "The Accidental Artist", as well as 11 of her paintings including a four color cover.
Paintings in the show illustrate Dr. Beck's various styles and artistic themes. A primary theme is representing the "gorgeous" world; --her brilliant colors, flat shapes, patterns and animated line are visually stimulating. Her travelscapes and portraits are examples. A second theme expresses her love of NYC;--in the "new york downtown" series and the "brooklyn heights brownstones" series.
