The college's Office of Image/Visual Communications has garnered a Bronze Medal in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II Accolades Awards for a recruitment ad that ran last year in College Bound. The competition for CASE awards is particularly fierce, and City Tech's entry was one of 16 submissions in the competition's print advertising category. The award will be presented at a special ceremony during the CASE District II Conference in Toronto, Canada, February 9-12.
The college also has been notified that
its image and visual communications team has taken four more
gold, silver or bronze medals in the National Council for
Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) 2001 Paragon Awards
- a prestigious national competition among many of the nation's
finest college and universities. City Tech won awards in the
competition's computer-generated illustration, logo design,
viewbook design and print advertisement categories. The awards
will be presented on March 19 at NCMPR's national conference
in Orlando, Florida.
City Tech's image and visual communications team includes
Dominick Sarica, executive director, Alberto Vargas, graphic
designer, and Priska Diaz, a designer/illustrator and graduate
of the college's baccalaureate program in communication design.
Several student designers from the City Tech advertising design
and graphic arts program contribute to the award-winning efforts
of the team.
