City Tech Salutatorian's Artwork Featured in Exhibition Hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia

Little Mermaid, Milica Jevtic

The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia is hosting the Ljiljana and Milica Jevtic: Beauty and Nature art exhibition on Thursday, July 24, from 6pm to 8pm, at 62 West 45th Street, 7th floor, in Manhattan. Milica Jevtic is City Tech's 2014 Salutatorian.

Jevtic, a budding academic, is a Serbian who was born in Cuba. She lived in Denmark and Italy before moving to the United States just three years ago, and, not surprisingly, speaks four languages. Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Computer Systems Technology, Jevtic has excelled not only academically but also as an artist and an athlete.

Jevtic has great passion for design and seeks to represent beauty in her art–in all its forms. She is currently a freelance digital artist, working on concept art, book cover paintings, and illustrations for children's games. Her artwork has been published in Exotique 7 (The World's Most Beautiful CG Characters), d'artiste Fashion Design (Digital Artists Master Class), Kingdom Carousel (charity artbook), among others. Her work as a NOAA CREST (Cooperative Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center) Research Scholar has been published in scientific journals.

Jevtic plans to pursue a doctorate that would allow her to combine her passions for technology, art, science and business. "I would like to use my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to help others, to give back to society and create something new and useful in an intelligent and efficient way," says Jevtic.

Ljiljana Jevitc, Milica's mother, will show her colorful landscape paintings featuring a flower motif. Although an engineer and economist by profession, Ljiljana has always embraced her creativity and pursued her love for art. Her work has been exhibited around the world.

The exhibition, which features oil paintings and digital art, is free and open to the public.
