Third Annual Entrepreneurial Concept Competition Open to City Tech and Other CUNY Students

Are you a current City Tech student with an interesting idea, product, service or environmental initiative that would serve to meet an unmet need? If so, enter the Third Annual CUNY-Wide Entrepreneurial Concept Competition. Both for-profit and non-profit ventures are encouraged to compete, and the winning team will receive a $4,000 cash prize!

The objectives of the Entrepreneurial Concept Competition are to encourage students to develop their entrepreneurial ideas, enhance understanding of requirements for a successful business venture, and showcase the creativity of City Tech and other students at The City University of New York. The competition was created and is coordinated by The Black Male Leadership and Mentoring Program of The City College of New York and the New York City Louis Stokes Alliance Program.

Here are some perks for participating in the competition:

  • Free workshops and exposure to seasoned entrepreneurs
  • Many cash prize awards
  • Great résumé booster

This competition will take place during the fall 2012 semester and will culminate with a Presentation & Awards Ceremony in Shepard Hall, City College of New York, on December 8, 2012.

Registration is now open and will close on Monday, September 17, 2012. Student teams may consist of 1 to 5 members. Visit the Entrepreneurial Concept Competition website at http://www.cunyecc.org/ and register today!
