Diversity Visa Lottery Registration Period is October 5 through November 3, 2010
The City Tech Immigration Center, Namm Hall 622, 300 Jay Street (at Tillary), Downtown Brooklyn, is now scheduling appointments for those wanting to submit an entry for the 2012 Diversity Visa Lottery. Please call the office at 718.260.5597 to make an appointment. Please note that your eligibility to adjust status in the U.S. (if you win the lottery) will be assessed before an appointment is scheduled for you.
Entries must be submitted electronically during the registration period, which ends on Wednesday, November 3, at 12 p.m. Paper entries will not be accepted. Applicants are encouraged not to wait until the last week of the registration period to enter, as heavy demand may result in website delays.
Please note that natives of the following countries are not eligible to apply because the countries sent a total of more than 50,000 immigrants to the United States in the previous five years: BRAZIL, CANADA, CHINA (mainland-born), COLOMBIA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, ECUADOR, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, HAITI, INDIA, JAMAICA, MEXICO, PAKISTAN, PERU, PHILIPPINES, POLAND, SOUTH KOREA, UNITED KINGDOM (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and VIETNAM.
